Buzzi is the author of Journey to the Land of the Flies, A Weakness for Almost Everything, and A Perfect Egg, all of which appear to be out-of-print (of course).

Sounds like an author worth checking out, and the story Marcus translated for House of Mirth is pretty good. . . and “pro-spaghetti.”
