PHOTO GALLERY: Move-In Day 2015 /newscenter/photo-gallery-move-in-day-2015/ Tue, 25 Aug 2015 21:37:43 +0000 http://www.rochester.edu/newscenter/?p=116642 Nearly 1,300 freshmen forming the Class of 2019 moved in to their new homes on the University’s River Campus and Eastman School of Music this week. The incoming class comes from 47 states and 83 countries. At both Eastman and River Campus, current students were on hand to welcome and assist their new classmates as they got their first taste of their new home.

The rush begins on River Campus on Tuesday, August 25, as freshmen and their families arrive in Park Lot before heading up to their new homes on the Residential Quad or in Susan B. Anthony Halls.

Attendees practiced leadership and problem-solving skills and learned to fight racism, as a part of the M.K. Gandhi Institute’s Season for Nonviolence. Co-sponsored by the Office of Admissions, youth also toured campus and connected with admissions counselors.
