Steven Piantadosi, an assistant professor of brain and cognitive sciences, was recognized as one of this year's outstanding psychological scientists in the early stages of their post-PhD research career.

Tuition for undergraduates in the College will increase 3.7 percent to $51,090 for the 2017-18 academic year. Room and board will increase 3.4 percent to $15,324. Tuition for the Eastman School of Music will also increase 3.7 percent to $51,440. Undergraduate financial aid will increase 4.3 % over the current year forecast to $138.1 million.

River Campus鈥� newest residence hall, which will overlook the Genesee River from its east side, will also bear its name. Scheduled to open this fall, Genesee Hall will feature housing for approximately 150 freshmen, as well as meeting rooms, a new locker room facility, and training rooms for athletic programs.
