Commissioned by the University of Rochester\u2019s International Theatre Program<\/a>, We Don\u2019t Live on Mars Yet<\/em> is a newly devised work by Australian-South African director, writer, and theater artist Talya Chalef<\/a> and created with an ensemble of Rochester students. The show opens Thursday, March 1, and is a timely work on the topic of immigration and how refugees fit into our lives. The thought-provoking experiential theatrical premiere reflects on Rochester\u2019s history and its refugees. We Don\u2019t Live on Mars Yet<\/em> asks questions about our notions of what \u201chome\u201d means and why society insists on calling some people \u201caliens.\u201d Tickets are $15 for the general public. $12 for seniors (65+) and for University faculty, staff, and alumni; and $8 for students.<\/p>\n
