Responsible and ethical conduct of research is essential to advancing knowledge, supporting reproducible and trustworthy scholarship, protecting the credibility of the research enterprise, and sustaining public trust. It is reflected not only in compliance with policies and regulations, but also in the daily practices, decisions, and professional relationships that shape how research is proposed, conducted, reviewed, reported, and shared.
These guidelines provide a shared framework for responsible research across disciplines and should be read together with applicable University policies, sponsor requirements, school or departmental guidance, and discipline-specific standards.
