Douglass Commons

Douglass Commons

Named for Frederick Douglass, 1817-1895, eminent black orator and editor who spent many of his creative years between 1847 and 1872 in Rochester. (Formerly known as Men's Dining Center.) Opened in 1955, enlarged in 1963, and named in 1967.
