What to Do If You’re Sick

Anyone with symptoms of a respiratory virus—including COVID-19—should stay home and avoid contact with others. Resume normal activities after you’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours (without fever-reducing medication) and as overall symptoms improve.

  • Employees should follow their manager’s guidance based on their specific work location when returning to work, and use paid time off or sick leave as appropriate to record their absences. .
  • Students should contact University Health Service (UHS) with questions. UHS may also have COVID-19 tests available. Learn more and review student guidance.
